“Antony Anno” was born at 9.16 am on Wednesday 11th Nov 1987 at Good Hope hospital in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham.

He was the oldest son of seven children born to Stephen & Michelle.

Antony grew up in Madehurst Road, Erdington, Birmingham, and attended Osborne Infant and Junior School.

After attending Perry Common secondary school, he left and settled down into a job as a Gardener.  On Saturday nights he usually went with his mates to the Leopard Pub. But on the 25th July 2009 decided to go to “The Place 2B” Pub on the Chester Road, Sutton instead.

As the group left the pub a car drove onto the grass verge and deliberately ploughed into them. Antony was hit so hard he flew into the air, the driver of the car then did a hand brake turn and drove back over him again.

Antony was fatally injured and died at the scene; another pedestrian was also seriously injured.

Antony was a well-adjusted young man, who had a lovely smile and a cheeky grin, he was very family orientated and always ready to help.

He was a much loved and adored son, grandson and nephew.

The grief and heartache suffered by Antony’s friends and family is incomprehensible. He was an innocent victim of a senseless street crime.

He was laid to rest at nearby Witton cemetery.

Brett Cole, aged 32, of Weycroft Road, Perry Common, and Antony Stuart, aged 30, of Broomhill Road, Erdington, were charged with Antony’s murder and were both sentenced to 18 years imprisonment.
